Hello beautiful,
It’s officially that time of year! Say hello to crisp air, roaring fireplaces, and flannels galore - and while I’m 100% here for you slipping into the ~ chillest ~ of holiday modes, I have to remind you of this one thing - don’t forget to hydrate!

HYDRA-TĒ-ING IS KEY
With the cooler temps, the heaters on blast, and our tendency to reach for warm, cozy beverages, it can be super easy to forget to drink our daily dose of H2O, leaving our hair, skin, and bodies quenched for thirst. The good news is - water doesn’t always have to be the answer. Let me explain.
Recent studies have shown that consuming beverages containing proteins and electrolytes will keep you even more hydrated than water - and for longer too! This is because they help “slow the emptying of fluid from the stomach and keep hydration happening over a longer period of time.” Plus, newer studies have indicated that drinking tea can be just as hydrating as drinking water. We’ll cheers to that! ;) With our SkinTē formulas brimming with essential vitamins, minerals, electrolytes, and collagen protein, you can sip happy knowing you’re hydrating your body in more ways than one. And while we don’t advise you skip water altogether, we do encourage you to fill up on fluids with an assortment of benefits so you can get the most out of your daily sip!
HOMES ARE THIRSTY TOO
Another tip for the cool months ahead? Invest in a humidifier to keep your home hydrated! With fireplaces ablaze and heaters on high, it’s important to keep the air (and your skin) moisturized. Be it with a steaming kettle, a skincare routine rich in oils, moisturizers, and lavish creams, or a house humidifier, you’ll be grateful you let your skin drink up! Because thirsty skin = aging skin, and ain’t nobody got time for that!

LAYER UP
My last tip is this - do yourself a favor and dress in layers! While all we want to do is nuzzle into our favorite, chunky-knit sweater, it’s much better to layer up with a few, breathable fabrics. This way, if you break into a sweat while baking your favorite holiday cookies or the sun decides to say a quick hello, you’ll be able to ditch whatever is weighing you down and remain sweat-free. In other words - you won’t overheat and steal any of your body’s water supply, meaning you’ll stay happy and hydrated (and frankly, more comfortable) much, much longer. :)

With love (and collagen),
Dr. B
